If I became a life coach

Recently a trend in psychology has been for patients to go on a walk while talking instead of lying on a couch. The reasoning behind this is that the workout boosts your endorphins and gives you that feeling that lifts your mood. The main reasons people stop their fitness is either they overdue it or they get bored. Listening to a story or music on headphones can help with this. You'll forget to look at the clock and before you know it you've finished your workout. If I was a life coach, I would have my clients walk or pace with me. Pacing has always been a habit of mine when in deep thought. Bo Jackson introduced popular culture to the concept of cross training. Switching up your work out is important because if you aren't balanced in your workout then your results won't feel right.
Imhotep passed on to Hippocrates the concept of food being medicine. Our Doctors take the hippocratic oath to help us the best they can. How many us eat in a way that is good for us? How important is the timing of eating. Everyone knows not to eat right before bed or right before swimming because of cramps. Fasting when healthy can be a great feeling. Once I met a friends parents who do a juice fast once a year and though in their 70's their skin was flawless. Over eating is fast approaching the level of deaths that smoking causes. Many people eat for emotional reasons because they are emotionally numb. I think everyone should find out what their comfort food is and treat themselves to that once in a while. Some say eat once a day, some say eat 6 small meals a day. What is best for you? I'm not sure but a gut reaction is to say only eat when your stomach is hungry. A person's muscle to fat ratio is more important to me than just knowing their weight.
Is your glass half empty or full? The saying speaks volumes about how my stress level fluctuates. Focus on reasons to be thankful and give thanks often. If you say " the weather is great today, i'm thankful or I'm thankful for this meal, it makes the enjoyment increase. Everyone has been around a constant complainer and the urge they give you is to run away. Everyone has their own set of problems but how we address them is what builds character. Keep holding on to your dreams and goals and don't let anyone steal your joy. Make a plan or goal and don't let anyone, especially you, stop that.

  1. Dear Jon,
