I just got a great question in from
Shannon Hanaway, that I think you may be
interested in the answer to:
"I've just been advised that my MLM
company won't allow any website- outside
their provided template-that customers
can link back to for product information
and enrollment.
These are my products.
Am I dead in the water or do I just get
really creative?"
My Response:
Shannon,
Fantastic questions and by no means are
you dead in the water. You just have to
think a little bit differently about how
you introduce people to your
opportunity.
In all honesty, just sending people to
your companies website to learn about
your product line isn't going to win you
many sales anyway, so it's really more
of an non issue than you may think.
I've said it before and I'll say it
again. People don't join opportunities,
they join people.
Therefore nothing that you do on the
front end of your business even needs to
ever mention your company. Let me
explain . . .
Your best prospects will always be the
doers like you. The people striving for
success.
What do doers look for?
Information and guidance.
This is all your business on the front
end should provide. People will join you
because they "know" and you've proven
you can help them, not because your moon
juice is cooler than the next companies.
So on the front end, do what I do.
Create your own newsletter. Your own
lead capture page. Communicate daily.
If you get adventurous create a front
end product that solves on of your
prospects major concerns.
1. Getting more leads 2. Making more
money 3. Recruiting without rejection
Allow them to purchase it from you and
then . . .
Once all your marketing costs are paid
for by your profits, on the back-end
give you your customers a call.
Ask how you can be of further service,
naturally they'll be inquisitive as to
what else you're up to.
There, right there, is the time you
bring up your back end company.
You may say, but "Daegan I can't create
a product."
I have two answers for you.
Yes you can and you don't even need a
product to recruit online. It just makes
it easier.
Even if you were just to create your own
list online. Share stories and marketing
strategies daily, and as a call to
action at the end of your message you
said something like:
"If you'd like some personal help give
me a call between 4pm and 8pm tonight at
XXX-XXXX I'll be in the office to help"
You'll have people ringing your phone
off the hook all day and night. Trust me
on that one.
See how we never even bring up our
company online following this
methodology? Well, that's exactly why
you're in no way shape or form dead in
the water.

Finding your balance in direct sales can be very rewarding. For starters, there is only you as a boss, so it's really up to you how well you want to do. The tax benefits are amazing, actually more breaks than any other industry. I don't remember who said this, but they said it's like a self improvement course with a compensation plan built in. If you struggle then chances are you need to look in the mirror and get comfortable with positive affirmations. I'm not talking about just repeating them, I mean saying them until they feel natural and YOU believe it.
Organization is key but shouldn't be the main focus. The main focus should be on action. It's easy to plan and research and clean the desk and research some more and plan some more and watch some vids,,, you get the idea. The industry has gotten some bad press for a few people being too pushy. People don't like people acting pushy period.
Get a contact book or address book and use it. Go to http://hologramchat.com and click on the self improvement link on the left. There you'll see a great course that talks about the 8th step of attraction.
Find a mentor that will give you scheduled time for years. If you can't find one than at least get an accountability partner. Working from home requires you learn to plot your time and stay focused. Never quit and do some action now!

Lifecoaching
Finding your stride is a process that will ebb and flow. Ask yourself if you like the invigorating cold brisk air,,, or are you the type that likes it hot? I mention this because knowing your zone can shield you from being uncomfortable. Pampering yourself can feel wrong at first because for whatever reason, people think it's shallow or selfish to focus on themselves. I believe the opposite is true. If you really take stock of how you feel, you'll treat yourself better and in turn, be able to put your best to the world. So the Golden rule still applies, just remember that you gotta take care of yourself with the airmask in a plane before helping others,,, think about it and treat yourself to some yoga or tea, or whatever brings you pleasure within safe reason...:)

MLM Do's and Please Don'ts
When I first joined my MLM company, I had no idea that the industry even existed. Three years later,,, I'm loving it and want to share it with people. I've only started really studying the industry this last year. The first two years I learned a lot but I didn't treat it as a seriously viable option until this year.
The first lesson is do maintain and gain good relationships. What does this mean? It means calling people back when they call you, writing people back when they send you a gift or write you. Remembering people's birthdays. L>I>S>T>E>N>I>N>G to people, listening to people and listen some more. I repeat this because your first impulse is to equate with more yacky yack with more sales but the opposite can be true. If you are always jawing away at people with out listening, you may miss the time that they are ready to buy. If they are telling you they have fifty dollars and you are trying to sell them a hundred dollar package, they will feel insulted and want to run from you.
If you don't talk too much, don't go after your friends and family until after you have your first sign up, don't think a website, business cards, flyers will do the job for you. Yes advertising works but what good is a website if no one sees it? You should go to the sites that give you free traffic if you actually want human beings to see your site.
Write down your "why" and put it on the top of your computer on a stickynote, or somewhere where you see it while working. Do set a weekly or monthly training session with your team or yourself before you have a team. Do make a goal list and work with a do list calender. Organize your deskspace so that you don't have to climb over papers or junk to get to your work.
Do actively ask for referrals. If you give honest, heartfelt compliments and praise to people, they will remember you and want to refer friends to you. Don't ever give up because you aren't moving fast enough, remember that like life, you'll only get out what you put in. Do set up a double opt in email newsletter. Learn some SEO, web marketing, and talk to yourself in the mirror till you know your thirty second testimonial in your sleep. Write an article like this one about your industry. I personally recommend wellness but you should follow your passion in choosing a company. Do read daily inspirational quotes and keep a sense of humor and drive.
